Each year, a competition (based on a point scoring system) is run to find The Cocker Spaniel of The Year, The Cocker Spaniel Puppy Of The year and from 2016, The Cocker Spaniel Veteran of the Year (Championship Show wins only)

Cocker Of The Year points system : CC=6 points, RCC=2 points, Best Of Breed=3 points

Cocker Puppy Of The Year points system : 1st=5 points, 2nd=3 points, 3rd=1 point, further 5 points for BPIB, further 3 points for BOS Puppy (points to be won in Any Colour Minor Puppy & Any Colour Puppy Classes only)

Cocker Veteran of the Year points system (from 2016): Best Veteran 2 points, Best Opposite Sex Veteran 1 point
